Works great if your wireless card/antenna is in back of the PC, down on the floor or in one of those lousy enclosed desk compartments -- you can use this to move the antenna up to top of desk where it has a chance of getting signal. as far as I know, this is the only such antenna extension cable for indoors.
Just make sure that this is compatible with your nic and the antenna. I was thinking that it wasn't going to work but the range went from 1-2 bars to 4-5 instantly. Well I bought this for my brothers room. The Wireless Antenna had horrible range problems so instead of getting a whole new nic, I thought just extend the range of the antenna.
Allows antenna to obtain most beneficial location for best reception. Good product in conjunction with antenna purchased. Gives ease in finding the right location for best receiption with most antennas being sold (Reasonable cost antennas).
But this small, thin cable did exactly what is was supposed to do. I have since upgraded to n-type cable for my mobile 4 watt wifi system.
I needed the extension to use the hotels wi-fi across the street. I was using a USB cable as an extension, but this cable provides a much better signal.
